Banca Comercială Intesa Sanpaolo România S.A. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including persons with disabilities in accordance with the provisions of Law No 232/2022 on accessibility requirements applicable to products and services.
We constantly endeavour to improve the user experience of our website and to apply the most relevant accessibility standards in line with our bank's ethical values and principles of inclusiveness.
This Accessibility Statement applies to the www.intesasanpaolobank.ro website.
Level of compliance
The www.intesasanpaolobank.ro website is partially compliant with the accessibility legislative requirements, with some sections of the website still in the process of being improved to fully meet the accessibility requirements.
Accessibility measures implemented:
- More visible links: links in the text are no longer just highlighted by colour, but are also underlined to make them more recognisable to all users;
- Improved contrast: the colours used for checkboxes have been adjusted to ensure sufficient contrast, making them easier to see;
- Keyboard-only navigation: Users can now interact with checkboxes using only the keyboard, without depending on the mouse;
- Images: decorative images now have corresponding attributes (alt blank) and informative images now include text descriptions to be accessible to users using screen readers;
- File information: links to downloadable files now include the file type and size to provide clarity before access.

Inaccessible content
Despite our efforts to make all content accessible, some sections still require improvement:
- Headings in documents: Some documents do not have headings formatted as Heading 1;
- English text not properly marked: Some text segments are in English or Romanian, but do not have the language attribute set (lang="en" or "ro"), causing screen readers to render them incorrectly.
We are continuing efforts to fix any items that are not yet compliant for technical or resource-related reasons.
Accessible alternatives
In situations where content is inaccessible, you can request that it be in an alternative format (e.g. accessible PDF, transcript, audio version) to the Bank's contact details.
