MiFID II represents the Directive (EU) on markets in financial instruments no. 65/2014 and together with Regulation (EU) no. 600/2014 on the markets for financial instruments, respectively the Directive and the related delegated Regulations, aims to protect investors, strengthen competition in the financial services sector, as well as greater transparency of the financial market at European level.
The European legislation MiFID II was transposed into the local legislation by Law no. 126/2018 regarding the markets of financial instruments, respectively by the FSA Regulation no. 5/2019 on the regulation of certain provisions regarding the provision of investment services and activities according to Law no. 126/2018 regarding the markets of financial instruments.
