*The notification regarding the transfer of First Bank products and services to Intesa Sanpaolo Romania is addressed to persons who are in a contractual relationship with First Bank on 14.07.2025. If, at the date of receipt of the notification, the business relationship with First Bank was closed, we assure you that the information regarding the takeover of First Bank products and services to Intesa Sanpaolo Romania is not applicable to you. Such situations may arise as a result of the complex process of processing and sending notifications, a process that may generate gaps between the date of closure of the business relationship and the date of receipt of the notification.

Data update

Important - Data Update

We inform you that the operation to update/modify customer data in First Bank (both in territorial units and through Mobile Banking) is available until October 24, 2025, 5:00 PM.
In the event that your access to trading is restricted in First Bank between October 25, 2025 - October 30, 2025, for non-updated data, the restriction will also be maintained starting October 31, 2025 in Intesa Sanpaolo Romania.
The process of updating data and lifting restrictions will resume from November 3, 2025, in Intesa Sanpaolo Romania units.
Note: During the period October 25, 2025 - October 30, 2025, for exceptional and urgent operations, you can contact First Bank territorial units.

NEWS - Cards&Pin / Internet & Mobile Banking

PIN by SMS

Steps to follow to receive the PIN code via SMS:

Step 1 – Receive Authentication Code:
The Bank sends a 10-character Authentication Code via SMS to the mobile phone number declared by you and registered in the Bank's system as the contact number in relation to the Bank.
Step 2 – Confirm Authentication Code:
You will confirm the Authentication Code received via SMS to number 3779, within a maximum of 7 calendar days.
The cost of an SMS is the standard one charged in the network to which you are subscribed. The phone number 3779 is available for the telephone networks in Romania: Orange, Vodafone, Telekom and Digi.
If you have exceeded this deadline or have sent an incorrect Authentication Code more than 3 times, you will be able to request the generation of a new Code by calling the Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Call Center at the toll-free number 0800.800.888, from Monday to Friday between 09:00 AM and 20:00 PM, or by submitting a request to any Territorial Unit of the Bank.
Step 3 – Receive PIN code via SMS:
You will receive the PIN code for the card via SMS.
If you have multiple cards, you will need to follow the three steps above for each card, and you will receive a distinct Authentication Code for each card.
Important!

✅ You can change the PIN code at any ATM in Romania!
✅ It is important to remember the PIN code, not to disclose it to third parties and not to write it on the card!

INTERNET BANKING

The Internet Banking/Mobile Banking platform provided by First Bank will operate until October 30, 2025, 8:00 p.m. Starting with November 3, 2025, you will be able to use the new Mobile and Internet Banking service provided by Intesa Sanpaolo Romania.

In the event that, on October 30, 2025, you have an active business relationship with both First Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Romania and benefit from the Internet Banking service at both banks or only at Intesa Sanpaolo Romania, starting with November 3, 2025, only the Mobile and Internet Banking service purchased from Intesa Sanpaolo Romania will remain active and the Internet and Mobile Banking contract concluded with First Bank will terminate. Within this, the products transferred from First Bank will also be viewable.

If, on October 30, 2025, you have an active business relationship with both First Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Romania and you benefit from the Internet and Mobile Banking service only at First Bank, starting with November 3, 2025, the Internet and Mobile Banking service will be transferred to Intesa Sanpaolo Romania. Within this, the products held within Intesa Sanpaolo Romania will also be visible.

The telephone number declared in the relationship with First Bank for the use of the Internet and Mobile Banking service.

Security of your banking data

SECURITY OF YOUR BANKING DATA AND FRAUD PREVENTION

The analyses carried out show that, during this period, there is an increased risk of fraud attempts. Therefore, we recommend that you be vigilant and comply with the following safety measures:

• Do not install applications upon telephone recommendation from people who present themselves as specialists or employees of Intesa Sanpaolo Romania and/or First Bank. Use only official sources – download the application exclusively from the App Store or Google Play Store, never from third-party sources or links received by email/SMS. Verify that the developer is the official bank;

• Do not perform transfers or other banking operations upon telephone request from people who claim to be employees of Intesa Sanpaolo Romania and/or First Bank, especially if the reason given is to secure your account or balance. Banks will never request such actions from you;

• Do not access links received from unknown senders via e-mail/SMS/WhatsApp messages;

• Do not provide your authentication data (username, password), respectively the authentication code for Internet/Mobile Banking platforms. These are intended exclusively for individual use and may lead to the compromise of your account. Banks will never request such actions from you;

• Never share your card data (number, CVV/CVC code, expiration date) with unauthorized persons. The card is a payment instrument, not a collection instrument;

• Close any call asking for information or suspicious actions, even if it appears to come from Intesa Sanpaolo Romania and/or First Bank. Report fraud/phishing attempts immediately to the First Bank Call Center, at tel. +4021 303 69 69 (available from Romania and abroad) or at tel. 0800 801 802 (free call from any national network), or go to a nearby unit to check any suspicious request. Banks will never request such actions from you;

• Access Internet Banking services only through the official websites of Intesa Sanpaolo Romania or First Bank banks – avoid searching for the name of the service in the search engine and accessing unsafe links.

We would like to inform you that, in the context of the merger process, your personal data are processed by the two banks, First Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Romania, as joint operators, in order to legally, technically and operationally carry out the merger process and to ensure the proper and continuous administration of banking products and services, ensuring the continuity of banking services under optimal conditions. The data processing is carried out for purposes such as: fulfilling the legal obligations regarding the merger process, transferring and integrating data into IT systems, ensuring the continuity of the contractual relationship and the services provided, informing you about the changes resulting from this process, in order to ensure the easiest and most fluid integration of your products and services.

Details regarding these processing operations were sent to you at the beginning of the merger process and you can consult them in the General Information Note on the processing of personal data, which you can find on the First Bank website, section "Data Protection", at https://www.firstbank.ro/firstbank/footer-navigation/data-protection.html. At the same time, we specify that the information note can be requested at any First Bank unit.

We specify that, after the completion of the merger process, namely starting with October 31, 2025, your personal data will be processed by Intesa Sanpaolo Romania as Data Controller. For details regarding data processing, we kindly ask you to consult the Information Notes on the processing of personal data available on the Intesa Sanpaolo Romania website, section "Data Protection" at https://www.intesasanpaolobank.ro/bine-de-stiut/protectia-datelor.html. At the same time, we specify that the information note can be requested at any Intesa Sanpaolo Romania unit.

In the event that, at the time of the merger, you have a valid agreement provided to First Bank for profiling and communications for marketing and advertising purposes, we inform you that it will be taken over and used by Intesa Sanpaolo Romania, except where you have provided such an agreement in the direct relationship with Intesa Sanpaolo Romania, in which case the latter will prevail.

We note that, in the event of termination of the First Bank client relationship before the completion of the migration process, your data will be processed by Intesa Sanpaolo Romania in its capacity as successor in rights and obligations of First Bank, in order to fulfill legal obligations and/or based on the legitimate interests of the Bank, until the expiration of the legal limitation periods or archiving periods, in compliance with the principle of limitation of the retention period.

What impact will this takeover have on me?

Until 30.10.2025, the activity is carried out as usual. There is no need to do anything – you will continue to use the services provided by First Bank, as you have done so far. The takeover of First Bank by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank has been carefully planned to guarantee the continuity of banking services. We recommend that you consult the migration calendar, included in the guide sent to you by email/post. It includes useful information about the transfer of services and products, as well as the most important dates to consider.

Is my personal data safe?

Your personal data is processed securely, as before.

Both First Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Romania apply appropriate technical and organizational measures in order to comply with legal requirements in the field of data protection. Details regarding the processing of data by the two banks are accessible on the First Bank website, at https://www.firstbank.ro/firstbank/footer-navigation/data-protection.html  and on the Intesa Sanpaolo Romania website, at https://www.intesasanpaolobank.ro/bine-de-stiut/protectia-datelor.html

Will the Internet&Mobile Banking app change

Yes, it will change. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the description of the functionalities available within the new service by accessing the dedicated section on the Bank's official website: https://www.intesasanpaolobank.ro/persoane-fizice/internetbanking/digical-banking.html

The First Bank Internet Banking platform that you have had access to so far will be available until 30.10.2025.

The Mobile & Internet Banking service of Intesa Sanpaolo Romania will be available for all individual users starting with 03.11.2025.

Can I still go to the same branch as before?

First Bank will no longer exist, and the names of the branches will change.

Information about the branch that will manage your business relationship can be found in the notification sent by First Bank to you. If you initiated your business relationship with First Bank after July 14, you can find out which branch is yours by accessing the home section of the page dedicated to the merger, IBAN converter; after entering the First Bank IBAN code, the new IBAN code and the name of the branch that will manage your business relationship will be displayed. You can find the branch address on the page dedicated to the merger.

The working hours with the public of Intesa Sanpaolo Romania branches are 9:00 - 16:30. Except in the case where the customer wishes to withdraw cash from the teller above a certain limit (in which case a prior appointment is required), it is not necessary to schedule a visit to the branch. Of course, clients are free, if they wish, to call the branch to set up a consultation appointment.

When will my products be transferred to Intesa?

The date on which your products will be migrated to Intesa Sanpaolo is the merger date 31.10.2025. The first fully operational day will be 03.11.2025

What happens with the money from my deposits?

All your term deposits from First Bank will automatically migrate to Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania under the same conditions (term, subsidized interest) until their maturity, without the need to sign any additional document.

Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania, being a participant in the Deposit Guarantee Fund in the Banking System (FGDB). The guarantee ceiling per guaranteed depositor – individual – is set at the equivalent in lei of the amount of 100,000 euros. What happens with First Bank cards?

Cards issued by First Bank will be usable until the migration date (30.10.2025).

Starting with 31.10.2025, you will be able to use Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania cards.

Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania will issue new cards during September 2025.

If you hold a VISA debit card at First Bank, you will receive a VISA debit card issued by Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania.

If you hold a VISA credit card at First Bank, you will receive a credit card issued under the MASTERCARD logo, issued by Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Romania.
